I am a high school science teacher. I completed my PhD and Master’s degree in Zoology from Punjab Agricultural University, India and earned my Bachelor of Science from Panjab University, India. I believe students learn science by doing science, and that my classes are a medium through which my students will learn life skills that are critical for their success in college and future careers. I emphasize critical thinking and problem solving, using our science content to develop good evidence-based reasoning and communication skills.
My teaching philosophy is to motivate students who are responsible for their own learning to become autonomous thinkers, discerning moral agents and engaged citizens.
I greatly enjoyed the teaching opportunities I have had and look forward to continue teaching as part of my academic career.
